Learner agreement

1. Learner commitments

By accepting a place on the Community Solar Foundation Course, you agree to:

  • Attend and actively participate in all scheduled live learning sessions wherever possible.
  • Complete the required learning activities, assignments and assessments within the published course timescales.
  • Engage professionally and respectfully with tutors, guest speakers and fellow participants.
  • Notify the Course Administrator promptly if circumstances arise that may affect your participation or completion of the course.

2. Course fees and payment

Where course fees apply:

  • An invoice will be issued once your place on the course has been confirmed.
  • Payment must be made in full within 30 days of the invoice date and, in all cases, before the course starts.
  • Failure to pay by the required deadline may result in your place being withdrawn and offered to another applicant.
  • Once your place has been confirmed, course fees are non-refundable, except where required by law or at the discretion of the course provider.

3. Bursary conditions

Applicable only to learners who have been awarded a bursary-supported place.

By accepting a bursary-supported place, you acknowledge that:

  • Your bursary has been awarded based on the eligibility criteria of the bursary provider.
  • Acceptance of a bursary does not remove your responsibility to participate fully in the course and complete the required learning.
  • The course provider and bursary provider may request feedback or information about the impact of the bursary after the course has concluded.

4. Changes in circumstances

We recognise that unexpected personal, medical or professional circumstances may arise during the course. If you believe you may be unable to complete any part of the course, you should:

  • Notify the Course Administrator as soon as reasonably possible.
  • Where appropriate, notify the bursary provider.
  • Work with the course team to explore appropriate support, including reasonable adjustments, extensions or deferral where available.

Failure to communicate withdrawal or prolonged non-engagement may result in a bursary award being reviewed.

5. Intellectual property

All course materials, presentations, recordings, documents and other learning resources remain the intellectual property of the Community Solar Foundation Course unless otherwise stated.

You must not:

  • Copy, reproduce or distribute course materials without prior written permission.
  • Share course materials with individuals who are not enrolled on the course.
  • Use course content for commercial purposes without written consent.

6. Code of conduct and course access

Learners are expected to:

  • Behave respectfully and professionally in all online and in-person learning environments.
  • Treat tutors, speakers and fellow learners with courtesy and respect.

The course provider reserves the right to remove or suspend learners whose behaviour is disruptive, abusive or otherwise breaches this agreement.

Access to the online learning platform:

  • Is personal to the registered learner and must not be shared.

By registering for the course, you understand that:

  • Your personal information will be used solely for the administration and delivery of the course and related learning activities.
