Bursaries

The Energy Learning Network bursary is intended to improve access to the CSF course for individuals who may otherwise face barriers to participation.
Applicants must demonstrate that they are:
- From an underrepresented social group within the community energy sector; and/or
- Based in, or primarily working with, a part of the UK that is currently underserved by community-funded renewable energy groups or initiatives.
Applications will be assessed on the eligibility criteria above and the applicant’s potential to contribute to the growth and diversity of the community energy sector.
The Westmill Energy Co-op bursary is available to applicants who can demonstrate how they intend to apply the knowledge and skills gained through the CSF course to support community energy projects or initiatives.
- As part of the application, candidates must submit a personal statement of up to 250 words outlining:
- The anticipated impact on their organisation, community, or future community energy projects.
- What they hope to gain from the course.
- How they plan to use the knowledge, skills and networks developed.

All applications will be assessed on the strength and clarity of the proposed impact rather than previous experience alone.
