Big Solar Gathering – 17 October 2025

This year we will gather in Shrewsbury at the Museum. There has been a great response with Volunteer Members, Investor Members, Community Energy sector stakeholders, Council representatives and technical experts from across the region and beyond joining us. We are looking forward to seeing you all for a day of inspiration, practical learning and action.

Transport

The closest rail link to the museum is Shrewsbury Railway Station, approximately a nine-minute walk away. The nearest bus stop is The Square on High Street, which is 130 metres from the museum. The museum is also not far from the Bus Station. 

Parking is available throughout the town. The nearest option is the Raven Meadows Multi-Storey Car Park, which is located 450 metres from the museum. Electric vehicle charging points are available at Frankwell Quay Car Park and Abbey Foregate Car Park. Bicycle parking is available in the Square, directly in front of the museum.

Accessibility

Please note that onsite parking is generally not available at the museum, but Shrewsbury has designated on-street parking spaces for disabled badge holders. The nearest spaces can be found on Princess Street, Shoplatch, Roushill, and Claremont Street. The museum is a historic building accessed on level ground, with lifts and accessible toilets on each floor. Please let us know if you have any accessibility requirements so we can support you on the day.

Food

We will be serving a chilli and nut-free vegetarian lunch with vegan options, tea and coffee and water throughout the day.
