The Big Solar Gathering is primarily focussed on sharing learning, project updates, networking and getting to know our Investor and Volunteer Members better.
It’s our key annual in person event so we pack quite a bit in! This year we will be meeting at the Wardwick in downtown Derby and the lineup is looking good…

Cancellations and no-shows
If you need to cancel – please let us know. It is much better that you do this and we can keep your tasty lunch out of landfill and possibly pass your ticket on to someone else rather than just not turn up on the day. Just drop us an email: info@bigsolar.coop
Food
We will be serving a nut-free vegetarian buffet with vegan options, tea and coffee and water throughout the day. Please let us know if you have any dietary requirements that we should know about.

Accessibility
There is accessible on street parking available by the venue and a ramped entrance to the right hand side of the building. Please let us know if you have any accessibility requirements so we can support you on the day, if wished.
Transport
Please car share or use public transport if you can to access this event. The Wardwick, is a 22 minute walk from the train station and an 11 minute walk from the bus station. Bicycles can be locked up right outside the venue and in the other spots shown by red arrows on this map >>>
The closest parking and EV charging station is Bold Lane multi storey car park – tickets can be validated at the venue which caps the parking charge at £2.70.
Filming
Our friendly film-maker Aaron Child, of Painted Life Productions, will be wandering around throughout the day taking photographs, filming presentations and some short interviews and vox-pops. If you would prefer not to be included, just let us know and please avoid cameras on the day.
There the night before?
If you will be heading up to Derby the night before, you are very welcome to come and find us at the Electric Daisy Community Garden – just a few minutes walk from the Gathering venue. The garden is open to the public and there will be a pizza van and firepits to enjoy, we expect to be there about 18:00 onwards. Dress warm as it is all outside!
