We headed up to Sheffield for the awards ceremony and were inspired by all the other great projects described on the night. While being shortlisted and winning an award is already a huge honour, we’re even prouder of the progress we’ve made together over the past year.
Our operational sites have nearly doubled, total capacity has grown to 1.4 MW, and our solar rooftops now stretch all the way from Sheffield to Southampton – a clear sign of the growing impact of community-powered solar!
And it’s not just about panels and power.
We’ve now welcomed over 1,000 members, 400 Whiteborough Park bond holders raised £2.2 million in shares and have 50 new projects in the pipeline. Altogether, our solar arrays have generated 1,244 MWh of clean electricity — enough to:
☀️ Power 461 homes for a year
🚗 Drive 3.9 million miles in an electric car
🌍 Save 490 tonnes of CO₂, equal to the yearly footprint of 58 people
