The Birmingham based community benefit society – Power for Good, installed solar on three host churches in Lea Hall, and West Bromwich, where the panels were installed in 2015, and Kings Heath where the panels were installed in 2017.

“Power for Good were pioneers in community solar in Birmingham – first registered in 2012 and establishing solar on three church buildings in the city. Now they have decided to wind up their operations we are delighted to be taking on their solar arrays and continuing their work. We’re already working on some other potential solar sites that members of Power for Good have suggested – there is so much scope for solar in Birmingham!”
Jon Halle, Big Solar Co-op CEO
Through a buyout procedure approved by the members and Board of Power for Good the Big Solar Co-op will take on the operations and maintenance of the three existing solar arrays. This will free up members of the Power for Good community benefit society to work on new projects and they will all have the opportunity to join the Big Solar Co-op as Volunteer and/or Investor members. Welcome!
